Service times, directions, and what to expect upon your first visit to Sunnyvale Church. We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at Sunnyvale Church a great one!
Saturday mornings you will find a casual atmosphere with a diverse group of people from different age groups, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Some will come dressed in suits and ties, while others prefer jeans or shorts. No need to stress about attire, we're just happy you're considering checking us out and we just want you to come by.

We have groups for all ages and we believe this is a great way to prepare for the Worship experience. Our vision for Children's ministry is that your kids would not only have a blast, but also have their hearts and minds focused upon Jesus. Safety is a priority in Sunnyvale and each of our volunteers has been screened with a detailed background check.

Our hospitality table is easy to spot from the parking lot and is set up between the small group time and the main service (9:45-11:30 or so). It’s stocked with coffee and snacks to help you feel at home right away. Friendly greeters and various church members will be there to welcome you, answer any questions, and show you around the small campus. We ask that the coffee be consumed outside the courtyard because we’ve had lots of spills lately!
Our service typically lasts about an hour and 15 minutes. We start by sharing announcements and calendar items, followed by contemporary music to foster a spirit of worship. We include a special feature just for kids—a short, engaging moment designed to capture their interest—and then we spend about 40 minutes looking at Scripture for inspiration and guidance during the sermon.
If you decide to come before the main worship service, We offer small groups that meet by age for kids, providing fun and engaging activities that help them learn and grow. Adults can attend topical studies designed to address various interests and life stages, and we also have a class that meets entirely in Spanish to accommodate those who prefer speaking in Spanish.
Most people dress a bit nicer than on an average day, though some opt to dress more casually to take a break from the weekday routine. Slacks and a nice shirt for anyone, or a dress for women, generally match the overall vibe, but you’re welcome to dress as formally or as casually as you like. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable as you worship with us–there really is everything from torn denim and work boots to sparkle on any given Saturday.
Many people choose to continue connecting by going out for lunch in groups, holding potlucks on-site, dining at nearby restaurants, or even meeting for a picnic in the park. If you’d like to join one of these gatherings, simply let our hospitality team know and they’ll be happy to plug you in to one of the gatherings!
